#19. The Lost Ring, a Boy, and a Woman’s Tears

A simple, sad story with a happy ending.
The Facebook message told it.
A woman grieving over a lost engagement ring
in a gazillion grains of sand on a Sydney beach.
16 year old Oscar reading the story,
asks for details, and heads to the beach
with his weapon of choice.
Walking with his fabulous metal detector
in amongst towels and sunbathing worshippers,
he does the absolutely totally impossible.
With whoops of delight he finds the ring.
And when the woman now home in Europe is told,
she weeps with joy.
A simple lesson:
How easy it is to be kind
when kindness is your habit,
and you can make miracles
every day.
