Hello from Good Grief!
I’m here to share that I’m kicking off a new project, Friendship Studies. For the next six weeks, I’ll dive into understanding friendship - what is friendship for? What can it do for us, personally, collectively, globally?
So many of us have endured harrowing times, personally and collectively, over the past few years, and one thing that feels common is that friends have gotten us through those experiences. I want to understand more about why and how that works and honor the relationships in our lives that might traditionally take a backseat to family, romance, or even work.
One of the ways I’ll gather information is to post a daily question about friendship. I’m posting the first one here! You can also follow along on my personal Instagram, zoehavingfuntimes (I’ll probably make a dedicated account at some point, but the link to do that is broken today! Oops!).
The first question is: What do you do with your friends? Comment or message me. Be as longwinded or shortwinded as you want.
I’ll be gathering, watching, listening to, and reading primary sources, so please feel free to share anything you think would be useful!
Your friend,
zoe
