I did it. I got the album recorded!

I’m sitting here, the end of a long week, the start of a new month, feeling a good deal of self-satisfaction. And exhaustion.

There were a great many travails getting my new album, The Glass Menagerie, recorded, a few longs days and late nights. I wrote about some of those in my last post. I learned a lot in a short time about myself and about both audio and film production. I’m proud of the process to this point, proud of my perseverance through obstacles that at times felt insurmountable, and proud of what the finished product will eventually be. It took everything I had. I’m ready for the holiday weekend.

Here are a couple videos for your viewing pleasure. In the first, I walk through the behind the scenes of the recording process. Some interesting stories, some nerdy tidbits. In the second, I play one of the tracks for you that will be on the album.

Thanks for being here and following along. I’m hoping – fingers crossed – this album will be finished in August. All the post-production fun. I’ll keep you in the loop :)

In the meantime, other things are happening. I’m finishing a film score and in the post-production phase of an album I produced with a cellist from D.C. Both of which I plan to make posts about in the near future. And possibly some other stuff too.
