She blinked rapidly. The courtyard emerged in pieces—the cracked table, the crimson moonlight pooling across it, and the crazy alpha in his ridiculous suit. The scent of blood and demon ash sat heavy in the back of her throat, pulling her back to reality. Her chest heaved, her body trembled. The power she’d consumed flowed beneath her skin in branching currents, pulsating in sync with her quivering heart.
“Went on quite the blood trip, huh?” Maurisio echoed from somewhere behind the haze still fogging her ears. “Wasn’t sure I’d be able to reach you while you were locked in.”
Now. Let’s talk.
I recently received a message from a member who—bless her heart—is absolutely locked into Alexis Moonlight and passionately asked me, or more like begged me, to finish it before jumping back to Scarlet Moon. She needs to know what happens next for her peace of mind.
And you know what? I can relate.
I completely understand the frustration of being invested in a story and then having the author bounce between projects like a pinball. Believe me, if anyone feels that chaos firsthand, it’s me, since I’m the one living inside both worlds simultaneously.
Here’s the thing though. The back-and-forth wasn’t random. I was working against deadlines and doing my best to keep content flowing for all of you across both series. Readers who have been with me for a while know why I chose this strategy. I want to be transparent, and I don’t want to write in a way that frustrates my readers. Your experience matters to me.
So instead of making this decision unilaterally, I’m putting it to the people. Because this community deserves a say in how we move forward.
