So it seems I can’t move two whole lives from Belgium to Denmark via The Netherlands, renovate a 70 m² house that hasn’t been touched since 1974, learn a new language, get acquainted with my new surroundings, go through a two month during snow blizzard without wifi, move furniture from a storage unit to a house that’s covered in snow, move two old men out (as they didn’t wanted to leave our house without gentle force), show friends and family around, love my husband and keep up with social media and write a frigging blog post twice a week. I am not that woman.
But that said, I seem to have everything pretty much under control now and we have actually completely finished one section of the house and to top that up, it’s rented out for the next two months. I’m all pretty chuffed about that and I’m aware that I’m humble bragging XXXL but that’s the pat on my own shoulder.
So may I introduce the ‘Garden Cottage’ to you. A mini duplicate of our previous home just to safe money as we could reuse all of the furniture and soft furnishings.
You can find more info and book the cottage here. I’m planning to do all sorts of fun things and decorate the cottage for Christmas, so maybe if you want to celebrate Christmas in Yvestown style, watch this space.

So I will be back on a regular basis and now I can actually live up to that promise as the pressure is off. we still have two more houses to go and the dream of what we will do with the barns and the garden but that’s for later.
To celebrate my return and the fact that I have settled in so lovely I want to offer a special discount if you sign up to a yearly subscription. Behind the paywall there will be vlogs, tutorials and behind the scenes of our restoration and building a home, business and life in Denmark.
