Now that we are finished with the ‘Garden Cottage’ we have moved on to the ‘Stable Cottage’, also the cottage we currently live in. It’s chaos but it’s also nice to see things transform. The cottage needs a lot of decorating and updating so it isn’t all too bad.
We have started with the boot room and main entrance of the cottage by removing the brick counters, that were impractical and dirty, and replacing them with a broom cupboard, a workbench and a new sink. We have also painted all the ceilings white and the doors ‘Shooting Beige’ by Jotun to let more light in. It worked, there’s so much more light.
I had a few tiles left I used in the shower of the garden cottage and wanted to spice them up by drawing little flowers in the corners of the tiles (the Dutch call those tiles ‘Ossenkopjes’) using a limitless marker and an oven.
