👋 Dear creative! How are you doing today?
Long time no see.
I took some time off from writing to you all. I needed some distance and time to focus on myself, to gain more clarity on what I wanted to do with YCL and my other newsletters.
After a fasting experience, I do feel sharper, and the result is simple: not looking left and right at what others are doing, and remembering that joy and intention matter more than ever. The laboratory spirit of this newsletter prevails, and I want to resume some of the fun formats I explored a few years ago. Dropping the pressure, numbers, the engagement or not, and moving forward with what I want to say and share.
Don’t move a finger. Let it come to you…
Well, that is exactly what you have with these Opportunity Knocks issues. You do not move a finger, and yet you receive an opportunity you did not chase, and that is quite nice. I have had opportunities invite themselves directly to me, with my name on them, and those are precious.
In this new era of noise and hustle, deciding not to lift a finger to receive an opportunity is a counter-narrative. What if it just kept popping up again and again simply because you decided not to chase it? What if, through that shift, it flowed right to you? Give it a try.
I am.
The words we rearrange in our mind, rearrange our life.
