Yair Rosenberg · Yair's Newsletter

If you’re reading this now, sign up for my new newsletter here, as this Substack is now closed.

Shortly after you receive this email, you will receive another one: the introduction to the new incarnation of this newsletter, which will be housed at The Atlantic, my new journalistic home as of today. From this point forward, the bulk of my journalism will be appearing right here—in your inbox and in the pages of The Atlantic.

The team at The Atlantic has worked diligently to ensure that this transition is perfectly seamless for you, my regular readers, which means that there’s nothing you need to do. Going forward, you will simply receive these newsletters from the new Atlantic address, instead of from this Substack. (They might go to your “Promotions” or even Spam folder at first, so keep an eye out!)

Now, for most people, this newsletter will be a subscription offering. That means that after the debut month of free posts, most of the content will go behind The Atlantic paywall, and be reserved for their paying subscribers. But you are the exception.

Anyone subscribed to this newsletter—free or paying—will be getting a complimentary yearlong digital subscription to The Atlantic. Yes, the entire site! Your subscription begins at the start of December, and will be attached to the email with which you subscribe here. (Meanwhile, I’ve paused all paying subscriptions here at Substack, and you’ll be moved from the free Atlantic list to the paying list after the trial month ends.)

As I said, there’s nothing you need to do to keep receiving this newsletter. But there is something you can do to help this newsletter: spread the word! The success of this new project depends on it reaching as many people as possible who’d benefit from it. If you know anyone who’d appreciate the weekly reporting, profiles, and analysis I produce—and I’ve got a lot planned for the next month—please send them my way.

Thank you as always,
Yair
