“The plant in that wooden house isn’t the only thing that grow insanely. Before the summer rain, the termites were all over the house. She carried a basin full of water under the ray of sun, the water shone brightly. The termites jumped into the water, thought it was light, and were unable to get out of the water. Their wings fell off after excessive struggle and covered the surface of the water, forming a think white film. These termites without wings looked naked, pushing around the water with their tiny legs, or hanging onto each other’s body, looking for ways to escape from the water. After the rain, all the terminates gradually died, and their corpses floated.”

Late June and early July 2023 were spent in Vermont, I had a peaceful time focusing on drawing, reading, and walking. The expert above was taken from a short fiction I was reading. I also read through the books about painting at VSC’s library, which was unfortunately almost destroyed by the flood at the end of the summer.
