Tunisia’s role in World War II is often overlooked, yet between November 1942 and May 1943, the country became a central battlefield in the global conflict. Following Operation Torch, Tunisia witnessed the first direct confrontation between Allied and Axis forces on North African soil, placing it at the heart of a decisive military campaign whose consequences echoed far beyond the region.
To shed light on this critical period, a historical roundtable discussion is being organized to revisit World War II in Tunisia, with a special focus on the Tunisian Campaign (1942–1943) and its lasting impact on military history.
