One of the biggest requests I had for 2026: no scary Halloween, please!
Personally, I’m a scary Halloween fan. But I’m also a whimsical lady at heart, so it’s pretty easy for me to switch over my decorating inspo for the year. Today I focused on Jack-o-Lanterns and some funny eyeball sprays. Let’s design a super easy Halloween swag!
It’s cute, right? And won’t scare any kids away from your front door! Not that I get any trick-or-treaters anymore… sigh. That’s a topic for another article.
A lot of the supplies used today are both from my holiday shop WreathsByWaldo.com and my friends from Burlap and Bling Decor, but any ornament or bauble in this color scheme (i.e. orange, black or purple) will work! Even going to your local big box stores closer to October means you’ll have some Christmas decor that can easily be repurposed for other holidays.
(1) 30” teardrop swag. Mine is orange but any color works, just make sure your mesh is the appropriate color to cover it up!
(4) 4” purple ornaments. These are currently sold out but anything in the Halloween color scheme works!
(1) roll of 1” purple ribbon. This is a super close alternate that’s slightly wider here.
(1) roll of Halloween stripe mesh. I like this one more than the original!
The full length tutorial (35 minutes) is available to our paid subscribers below. Happy decorating!
