If you’re interested in learning more about color while making a diary comic, join me this Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 4pm CT/5pm ET for a 75-minute Zoom workshop:
I’ll give a 30 minute talk (with lots of images) on coloring and then we’ll spend 30 minutes drawing diary comics of our own so you can try out what you’ve learned in real time. There will be time for optional sharing at the end.
All levels welcome—it’s a low-pressure and supportive space! Bring your favorite coloring tools, whether digital or traditional.
Free for paid subscribers (click here for your coupon code). It’s $15 for everyone else.
Can’t make it live? A recording will be sent to registered attendees a few days later.
I love working with graphic storytellers to help them improve their craft. Here are a few ways I collaborate with creators:

Since I’ve been on a coloring kick recently, I was thrilled to jump into artist Samantha Dion Baker’s newest offering—a coloring book—Color Your World.
What I love about Color Your World compared with many other coloring books is the liveliness of Samantha’s line and also that the paper her publisher uses which is suitable not only for colored pencils, but paint too.
It’s rare to get our active pups standing still, but my spouse managed to snap this photo of them in front of Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis.
Take care & keep creating!
