One of the oldest brands in Canadian politics is facing its most modern crisis: grievance politics has become its pulse, and governance a departing spirit.

Elections AB, separatism, unemployment, Calgary-Shaw by-election, healthcare, separatism... and because Danielle Smith is premier; separatism again. ffs.

The short answer is yes; the long answer requires the ability to leave a whole bunch of feelings at the door.

I thought about it longer than they probably expected. In the end, the thinking clarified something I already knew: my voice isn’t a partisan instrument, and it can’t become one.

The UCP has no problem with overreach until it might affect their revenue streams; then we're all targets.
