For your convenience, I’ve included the audio for this post above

Brittle.

I do not want to be brittle

in either form or function

Moving through life stiffly,

unable to look up

or down

Neither seeing the iridescence of

blue sky

Nor the beauty of the

generosity of the earth I walk on.

I do not want to chip and crack

as I make contact with others

Their calcification

Tiny shards of destruction

So I hold myself loosely

Nimble as I

Glide

Away from the ridges

I breathe softly

into my thoughts.

The same loving way

I breathe

into my body.

Generous

Soft

Soft

Soft

Delighting in the feel

of life

In me

and around me

Generous in the

Giving

Soft in the receiving

Receive

Receive

Life invites us to take many forms

I do not want to be brittle

✨Edge of the Woods is here

Edge of the Woods E-Book

With Warmth,

Kyra🪶

Author | Way-Shower | Weaver of Belonging

Come along if you like your women over 50 a little curious, a little unruly, and occasionally up to shenanigans. I write about sovereignty, belonging, becoming, and the strange, beautiful things we discover when we stop behaving ourselves quite so much.
