Let’s Do This: Here Is Why You Are Being Bombarded with Fundraising Requests Today

Today—Tuesday, June 30, 2026—is the final day of the second fundraising quarter of 2026. This is why you are probably getting bombarded with emails and texts asking you to make donations to a wide variety of Democratic candidates before midnight tonight.

All of these candidates want the same thing: to be able to boast strong numbers on their Federal Elections Commission second quarter fundraising report, thereby proving the strength of their campaigns for House or Senate. That demonstrated strength really matters in terms of who gets outside help from party committees and activist organizations—and who doesn’t get that help.

You might wonder, quite reasonably, how you can possibly decide which of these candidates are the most worthy of the limited amounts of money you have in your budget for political donations? After all, you don’t know which candidates are the strongest. You don’t know which states or districts will be the most competitive next year. Although you are active in politics and want to help, you are not an election forecaster and probably don’t wish to become one.

Well, I have a quick and easy solution that keeps you from having to make any decisions or do any research.

I have created an Act Blue page that allows you, with a single donation, to support the eventual Democratic nominee in all winnable races for the House and Senate, governorships, attorneys general, and state legislative seats everywhere in the country. On this Act Blue page you will find:
