There is something about the night that restores perspective.
During the day our attention is pulled in countless directions. We move between responsibilities, conversations, decisions, and worries, often without noticing how small our world has become. Our thoughts circle the same familiar paths. Our concerns fill the available space.
Then night arrives.
The shoreline empties. The noise softens. The sky begins to reveal itself.
Standing beside the sea after dark, it becomes difficult to hold on quite so tightly to everything we carried through the day. The vastness above us invites a different way of seeing. Stars that have travelled unimaginable distances. Planets turning silently through darkness. Light reaching us from places beyond our understanding.
