We had a successful 38th Annual Texas Black Invitational Rodeo on Saturday, July 26, 2025 (National Day of the Cowboy) benefitting the African American Museum Dallas. Although it was a hard night for the Rodeo Management Team, our visiting Rodeo Announcer Terry Starns did a great job and the crowd as always was enthusiastic. Kevin, a consummant entertainer, would have been proud and is smiling in heaven to know that “the show went on” and we are continuing his legacy of sharing the Western and Rodeo lifestyle with others.

It still boggles my mind that 50% of the audience has never been to a rodeo before! After all these years you would think the number would go down. However, we are grateful and we hope all of those who attended go out and tell a friend or co-worker or family member what a great time they had so others will put it on their list of shows to see.

There is nothing like being there in person. The energy, vibration and excitement of the audience really helps the athletes compete at the highest level and to do their best. The next opportunity to see our Rodeo will be during the State Fair of Texas. On October 12, 2025 at 2 pm if you have a ticket to the Fair you will be able to see the rodeo for free so put it on your calendar and be sure to go over early to guarantee a seat as the seats will fill up fast just like they do in Fort Worth and Dallas.

As I mentioned in a previous post I will be sharing more stories of Historical Legends along with interviews of Living Legends in the next few months so be on the look out for those.

We will see you on the trail or at the rodeo, Liz
