Well 2025 was a tough year for our team. Loosing our long-time Rodeo Announcer Kevin Woodson in July and then our founder Cleo Hearn in November, made all of us pause for a few minutes to reflect. We reflected on our history, our numerous memories, the support of media across the world and our fans, along with the two send offs that made an impact on everyone who attended.
Both of these great Western Legends were heroes and mentors to me for their humor, compassion, commitment and love of God, family, rodeo and country. I was extremely blessed to have both of them in my life for over 30 years.
I thought it only fitting to let Cleo share in his own words about his hero Marvel Rogers.
And an interview I (Liz) did with Sports Broadcaster and long-time friend Chris Arnold. Chris has known Cleo all of his life as his mother went to high school with Cleo. Cleo was one of the first people Chris contacted when he came to Dallas to start is sports broadcasting career.
