Waxing Crescent Moon in Libra

Come and join me, here where balance finds its centre. We see before us our decisions and desires. The scale is ever moving and rarely settling on one side.

Our Moon stands in Libra in its waxing crescent phase. We gather in our reckoning, our relationships, and the small trades we make between our fears and our wants.

No single answer settles here tonight. Every motion in this sky continues its motion. Every return comes back changed. We have not yet paid an old debt.

♈︎ Aries | March 21 – April 19

Dissolving Boundaries

An old familiar edge in you is wuitly dissolving, Aries. As you meet the same blurred line between what you imagined and what you now see as true, you also realize there are no winners. Altjira is the Arrernte word for the Dreaming, the state where the ordinary boundary between vision and waking let’s go. You are not lost inside it. You are simply standing where the edge softens.

The edges continue to blur between imagination and reality.

♉︎ Taurus | April 20 – May 20

Setting Sacred Space

No one enters this ground tonight, Taurus, without your say. You are not waiting for permission from outside yourself, and you are not asking anyone to agree with the line you have drawn. Mana is the Polynesian word for the authority and spiritual potency that governs a space by will alone. What you protect here, you protect simply because you choose to.

By will alone you govern this ground and allow nothing to enter without your consent.

♊︎ Gemini | May 21 – June 20

Complicated Returns

By nightfall tonight, Gemini, you send a message out. You give it one shape, and you receive back a different one. Wu wei is the Chinese Daoist word for energy that moves with the current rather than forcing itself against it. Meet what returns where it actually lands, not where you expect it.

When you throw out a frisbee don’t expect it to come back a boomerang.

♋︎ Cancer | June 21 – July 22

Kissing the Blarney Stone

A room full of people is easy to charm tonight, Cancer, and one person waiting at home does not receive that same ease. Talanoa is the Tongan and Fijian word for open, relational conversation that draws a crowd in through story and warmth. The gift is real. So is the question of where you are pointing it tonight.

Are you at home with someone you love or do you go out charming the crowd?

♌︎ Leo | July 23 – August 22

Leaving Vulnerability

In your hands tonight, Leo, an old grip has stayed closed, and it does not need to stay that way. Iffah is the Arabic word for self-restraint held together with dignity, requiring no force to prove itself. What is not yours does not need defending. Open your hands and see what is actually worth keeping.

If you just stop clenching what was never yours will fall away.

♍︎ Virgo | August 23 – September 22

Would You Rather Swing on a Star

Two paths open in front of you tonight, Virgo, and no one attaches a verdict to either path. Anekantavada is the Sanskrit Jain word for the doctrine holding that reality contains more than one true aspect at once. Whichever road you take tonight remains simply a road. No one scores which one you choose.

Of two roads offered tonight neither one is called right or wrong.

♎︎ Libra | September 23 – October 22

Second Chances

Tonight you close one season of your life, Libra, and you open into another already arriving, not as a repair, not as a repeat. Baxt is the Romani word for luck and fortune, one’s given portion of fate arriving on its own schedule. The season now arriving owes no debt to the one behind it.

In the waning summer a second bloom approaches.

♏︎ Scorpio | October 23 – November 21

Waiting on Returns

In your hands tonight, Scorpio, you have carried an old weight, and the sea is wide enough to hold it instead. Ho’oponopono is the Hawaiian word for the practice of setting a relationship right by releasing what has been weighing it down. Let the water take what it can carry. You do not need to keep proving you can carry it too.

As the ships go out to sea I cast this woe away from me.

♐︎ Sagittarius | November 22 – December 21

Repayable Returns

An old debt is owed to you, Sagittarius, and tonight the account finally comes due. Ayni is the Quechua word for reciprocity, the circulation of assistance and obligation across time between people who trust the exchange to complete itself. Ask for what is actually yours. The ledger has room for it.

In this new reality we may need to insist on a full refund.

♑︎ Capricorn | December 22 – January 19

Between Distrust and Desire

Tonight you feel real distrust and real desire at once, Capricorn, and you can trust that both are true. Tawakkul is the Arabic word for trust that follows honest effort, an acceptance of what finally lies beyond your own control. You do not have to pick a side to be honest about what you feel.

A conundrum arises when you choose fear over trust.

♒︎ Aquarius | January 20 – February 18

Back From the Brink

By nightfall tonight, Aquarius, you go somewhere unfamiliar, and you are coming back carrying a real gift. Baraka is the Arabic word for a blessing, a spiritual gift understood as arriving through favour rather than being earned outright. What you bring home from the crossing is worth more than the safety you give up to go looking for it.

What did you learn from your walk on the wild side?

♓︎ Pisces | February 19 – March 20

Leaping Curiosity

At the edge tonight, Pisces, you do not know yet what waits below, and you step off none the less. Gigil is the Tagalog word for an overwhelming urge that moves you into action before your thinking catches up to it. The net is not guaranteed. Go looking for it anyway.

Be like the fool and take this leap of faith.

Cosmic Reflection

As the crescent widens toward greater light, we sit with the Libra Moon. Balance, reckoning, trust, and return remain gathered around us tonight.

Each observation returns to the life that receives it. We can keep our own counsel, and hold every choice within our hands.

Blessed Be.
