Sarah · Who Is This Gal?

Summer Solstice has arrived. Celebrating progress made in 2026 with gratitude. Manifesting continued success as time goes on. Some things I have been working on this year have been quite difficult. Taking longer and more energy than I imagined. Struggles from my past have creeped back into the mix unfortunately, but I am not letting them bring me down. Grateful for my people who love and support me through all of this. Cannot do it without them.

These past few weeks have been a ride. It became overwhelming swimming though the turbulent waters while reading words of my past. Taking a break from exploring for a while because it’s a lot to process. Discovering increasingly more about my younger self, memories, and relationships, realizing things were not always as they seemed. It was not unexpected, as memories are not always clear. Still very painful and necessary to accept history cannot be changed but do need to heal to move forward.

I have been wanting to get my all my videos/photos organized all in one spot. Backed up and easily searchable. As of today things have been backed up but loosely organized. My old laptop was necessary to be able to read the SD cards, DVDs, and CDs of data. My old external hard drive had many old files to filter through. My current external hard drive had some stuff on it. Got home from work on a Friday afternoon while my husband was out of town, found my old laptop and turned it on. Nothing. Took about an hour and finally got it to boot. Had no idea it had been like 4 years since it had been used. Battery completely dead, but at least it started. Needed many updates and was running super slow. Eventually would not update anymore as it was running Windows 10. Didn’t care, just needed to get the files. There were so many spots to check...past me did not label things well. Some items refused to load. Some of the mini-SD cards did not open. Hours and days later, Sunday evening, finally got everything on my external hard drive in one folder. It is going to take a very long time, decade by decade of 2003-2026, to get through the 200,000 + images/videos. There are some items I have never seen and some duplicated files. (Storing older items in two places) So happy it’s all in one spot and backed up. Now to keep the promise to myself to stay on top of the photo organizing.

My emotional eating is being kept in check with the Phentermine. My sleep was not doing well with the Topiramate so not taking that right now. But have to say, very happy with the results so far. Haven’t had serious negative effects other than reflux a bit more often, which could be due to the recent decreased dosage of that medication.

I spoke this afternoon to a friend from childhood. We haven’t talked in years other than a few calls and some texting. We picked up as if no time had passed. Life happens for many people, some stay connected, others don’t. She lives across the country, and we will be nearby when on a football trip this fall. Had been meaning to reach out to see if her and her family will be around. We were booking our flights yesterday so texted her. This is a friend that we completely relate and understand each other. I am so excited to see her in person. We were on the phone for over an hour and I wish our visit was sooner but am so looking forward to it.

Get outdoors, nature heals!
