show and tell · Show & Tell

Every May, Devon nostalgia looms – it’s one of the most historic shows in the US, set in an adorably quaint town on the Main Line. We’ve gathered some of our favorite spots from over the years - a list that keeps growing as we get glowing recommendations from local friends and fellow competitors. We find the ebb and flow of the show schedule to mean we have strange hours for exploring, so suit yourself and find your faves here! :)

Spots closest to the show:

  • Gryphon cafe - a cute vibe for a good Starbucks alternative

  • Terrain - you already knew to go here, but here’s your reminder – the closest restaurant to the show, always with healthy options - don’t miss their brunch menu, the shakshuka is always a favorite

  • Saffron Indian - if you’re in a pinch, the food is quite good, casual, and the service is excellent!

  • Tredici Italian Market - get a fire sandwich to go, bring some yummy, unique snacks to go

  • Lancaster County Farmers Market - make sure to check their hours (closed thurs), but a fun stop will lots of different local vendors

  • Sweetgreen - a staple, if you’re leaving the show in a hurry and want a guaranteed healthy bite

  • Nectar - a reliably good Pan-Asian spot that’s been a classic since our pony days, you can go in your show clothes

  • DanDan - super chill taiwanese spot, 5 min from the show and so yum

  • White Dog Cafe - a neighborhoody spot with locally sourced American food, great for brunch or dinner, I have so many Philly memories here

  • Autograph Brasserie - from the same people as White Dog

  • Johnny’s Pizza - highly recommended cheesecakes and really good pizza

  • A Taste of Britain - a super cute tea shop with yummy scones and tea sandwich

  • Rosalie at Wayne Hotel - a good Italian spot very close by, in the well-liked Wayne Hotel

Nearby *wellness*:

  • Verge yoga - a hot yoga center with a real community feel

  • Pilates – LSF Pilates or Pure Barre

  • Feeling sore? Head to dtXfy Infrared sauna studio or Restore Health Center less than ten minutes from the show for your hot and cold therapy needs - both spots also offer massages

The Brandywine Hotel in Radnor just opened – a boutique hotel from the portfolio line of Marriot and looks pretty nice :)

A bit more of a drive:

  • Amaranth GF bakery

  • Estia (Radnor) - very good Greek food, I remember really liking the one in Philly during college

  • Restaurant Alba - we haven’t been ourselves but it comes well recommended

  • The Buttery - between 10-15 minutes from the show, locations in Malvern and Suburban Square

  • Kirna Zabete - locations in NYC, West Palm, and the Hamptons - say no more for a great high-end women’s clothing curation

  • Solidcore - in Bryn Mawr for a reliably tough 45 min…

  • Leveaux Pilates

  • Suburban Square in Ardmore for shopping/exploring (there’s a PopUp Bagels there too which always catches our attention.)

Also, we can’t forget King of Prussia mall - one of the largest malls in America

~Special shoutout for a night off~

Head to one of Amanda Shulman’s (@stayhungree) restaurants in Philly - you likely won’t be able to snag a reservation at Her Place, but My Loup or the newly opened Pine Street Grille may hold a bit more promise!

No Devon is complete without at least one stop for ringside tea sandwiches and some candy to-go!
