H.R. Pufnstuf Pitch #4
The final of these four pieces. Of course had an incredible command of graphic design and color, but it’s so cool to see it like this.

I absolutely love the look of the witch in this incredible mixed-media piece from 1969.
Another incredible cut-paper mixed-media full-color piece from 1969.
One of the few color pieces of art I have from Wes Cook, and made of cut paper, this absolutely incredible storybook-style illustration is a curiosity to me! The text makes me think it’s for a pitch of some sort. But it was made in 1969, when the show debuted! Was it for a possible […]
Some great store design here, including talking trashcans, an off-the-shelf mural, and a beautiful Ronald’s Carousel, which I’ve never seen before. The legend makes me think this is the 6904 La Tijera Blvd location in Los Angeles, California — which still stands, although remodeled, of course. Does anyone have a picture of that carousel?!
This is one of my absolute favorite Wes pieces from my collection. From the technical cutaway on how a hamburger puppet should be built, to that phenomenal drawing of the puppeteers doing their thing.

Or did this kind of thing just come naturally to him? Either way, here’s an incredible technical drawings showing the construction of a Gobblin puppet. To my […]
When I first discovered Wes Cook’s artwork, and quickly headed to eBay, this item had just sold. That’s right. I don’t have this. So I can’t scan it. And that’s normally fine but, painfully, this is one maybe one of the most important Wes Cook pieces to exist, in my opinion. Yes, your eyes aren’t […]
Just a little sketch.
I don’t know what park this was planned for, but I want to go to this walk-through attraction so bad.
