Background:

A woman had recently started a relationship with a man. Since they had not been together for long, she cast a hexagram to ask whether the relationship could eventually lead to marriage.

Hexagram obtained: 36.Ming Yi to 56.Lv.

Judgment:

This hexagram showed that, because the relationship was still new, the man initially lacked readiness for marriage and showed resistance toward commitment. However, his attitude would later change. Strong pressure from family elders, together with an F-K-B Metal trine centered on the parents line representing the marriage certificate, would ultimately help overcome the obstruction and push the relationship toward marriage.
