Party People: What We've Learned During FIFA Men's World Cup 2026 So Far

Are you feeling all of this FIFA Men’s World Cup fever? We are. No pressure USMNT, it’s lowkenuinely on you right now to unite the entire country and world. You got this.

Here are some of our biggest learnings so far:

1. America LOVES men’s soccer

2. We didn’t know Cape Verde was a World Cup team, NOR did we know it was a country in the world! Boop, there it is.

Now we are HUGE Cape Verde fans, especially of star goalie Vozinha!

3. Abby here: I learned who Balogun is — and that we have a lot in common.

4. Abby still: I also learned how much fun it is to watch and not feel like I want to play for one second.

5. Julie here: Even if FIFA tries to mess everything up, the world actually can make everything right.

6. I’ve learned that I need to up my USA gear game as a fan at games.

7. I’ve learned my kids also love to scream the national anthem.

8. People don’t hate each other. Governments do.
