It really has been a busy week! With my daughter graduating from Marblehead High School, I ventured out for the annual red carpet walk before prom. This was my fourth visit to the red carpet between my daughter and, previously, son. I managed to get a shot of every kid which you can see by clicking the photo of my favorite moment below. Photos start with pre-prom and continue to the red carpet.
Then it was time for graduation. I hadn’t planned on photographing the event until the Salem News reached out a few hours prior as their freelance photographer had to cancel at the last minute. I agreed to shoot the event and was so glad that I did. No offense to anyone who gave a speech that day but I had so much fun ignoring the pomp and circumstance and instead finding great angles of the kids on stage and in their seats. You can find pre-graduation, graduation and the diploma section by clicking the photo of James below.
Then it was time to explore landscapes again. I ventured out last week in hopes of capturing the blue moon but it never did appear as clouds blocked it from view. Instead I managed a few shots from the air over the old Coffin school.
And then with some great clouds earlier today, I headed out again to fly over the Barnegat area.
If you are still reading, I will be posting something tomorrow about a brand collaboration that touches on the importance of copyright and licensing my images for all use.
Then I will be seeking your help on Instagram/Facebook to choose this year’s TWO entries for the Marblehead Festival of Arts.
Stay Tuned…and don’t forget to VOTE on Tuesday!
Thanks for reading Wednesdays in Marblehead's Substack! This post is public so feel free to share it.
