And as Mother’s Day is almost here (it will be when you see this!), it got us thinking and we decided to share our thoughts:

Luke: My mom didn’t like Mother’s Day. It just seemed like glib theatre and it made her wildly uncomfortable. She believed that people should be kind —or even just decent and considerate— all the time, and overwrought expressions of gratitude, love or affection were better expressed in regular subtle gestures… definitely not on cue when it’s magically on the calendar.
Having said all that, what could be simpler than to acknowledge gratitude for the Herculean task that women have undertaken, since before we climbed out of trees, to give us life. All hail the moms!!
