A New Look

Eagle eyed readers may notice changes in the look of the site. If you are reading through RSS, I’d suggest viewing the webpage.

So, I swapped to Astro, aping my writing site which I’ve folded back into my main site. The look is far more aesthetic, and feels much nicer to read on I think. I moved some things around, but should have functionality parity—except for search. I have more control over things with the new theme, which I like. I’ve been using LLMs to write out the theme because I can’t be bothered to engage thoroughly with web development, but I’ve learnt more about Astro, somewhat unwillingly, so I’ve been making tweaks as needed. Many components have been generated though, and I’ve used as much from erudite⁠ as I can.

There are (always) changes I need to make—I need to check the full site out to make sure I didn’t miss any errors, I want to compact the site to improve performance and reduce transfer sizes, and more styling and functionality tweaks. I like this base a lot more though, and am very happy with the current state of the site, hence the migration and deployment.
