Last week, Visitation Sessions at long last made the transition to video and launched our YouTube Channel. I will be honest; this was not something I was excited about. I love good old fashioned audio podcasts and would have happily kept things that way. But I do think our conversations matter, and I recognize that good people who could benefit from these conversations will never hear us unless we go to video. Hence, we have gone to video.
Don’t worry: those of you who prefer audio, will still be able to listen to all episodes, old and new, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Substack. But those of you who want to see our smiling faces, will now be able to do so on YouTube. And everyone will now be able to share the podcast more easily, thanks to video clips and social media. Hopefully that is good news for everyone.
Those of you who have been following along for a while, know this has been a fairly major undertaking. It’s taken a year of electrical work, plaster work, painting, set design, equipment purchasing, and so much tweaking of lighting and camera placement. Nothing about creating a studio in our small, windowless, attic room has been easy. But even I am happy with the results, and I hope you are too, because this wouldn’t have been possible without you.
All four of us are incredibly grateful for your help, and think we have pretty much the best, most interesting, most supportive podcast listeners in all of Catholic podcast land. So, as a little thank you for being so great, we recorded a quick video tour of the studio. As you will see, it is tiny!
If you are ever in Steubenville, let us know and if we around, we’d love to show you the studio in person and have coffee or a drink together! In the meantime, thank you for listening and for supporting this project! We could not be doing it without you!
