The Magician's Cazimi

We’re a little over a week in to Mercury’s retreading of the Cancerian waters where we’re getting opportunities to assess the ways that defense mechanisms have been used to protect oneself from outside threats, and the narratives we’ve created from these contortions that keep us in a state of perpetual woundedness and victimhood. More than likely we are getting to experience this through relationships that are in our inner circles of trust, or perhaps we are witnessing this in another’s life and we can collect relevant information from their experiences and apply it to our own lives. These waters that birthed all creation and are associated with the archetype of the Mother as well as applying to our parents and ancestral lineages, carry in them the deeply held imprints of emotional security that formed our initial relational patterns from childhood. This retrograde cycle invites us to seek out the patterns of unconscious emotional manipulation and weaponization of the caretaker in each of us to clearly understand how these have skewed our perceptions of the world around us and probably resulted in some unfortunate self sabotage events that have held us back from thriving. There’s a dismantling of the hijacker, aka the unprocessed emotions that form the stories and narratives that shape our bubble reality, which is separate from the objective reality that is running underneath. It really could be envisioned as several billion bubbles floating above the ground at different heights, with different diameters, each one a person’s sensitive human consciousness, composed of the skewed stories and delusions one tells oneself to maintain the life and ego one has constructed. This sugar-coated bubble can go on and have a shockingly long life at times, as there’s plenty of avenues, programs, people, organizations and substances to reinforce the walls of these tiny worlds that keep the outside threats at bay to the detriment of our emotional maturity and growth. The collapse of this artificial world of self drops one into the wellspring of life that allows for a complete rebirth into a new potential that flows in this supported current of cosmic creation.

What’s special about this particular Mercury cycle is that on July 12 it will pass through the heart of the Sun, also known as its cazimi point, at 20º 41’ of Cancer, which happens to be only 2’ away from Pluto’s North Node that sits at 20º 39’. Pluto means “the rich one” in that he is the lord of the underworld, where decomposition and death occur, where the dark richness of regenerative processes are initiated, and where we are also initiated to die to ourselves so that new life may be birthed. Pluto is the rich one as he composts what must die to eventually have a rich harvest of fruit in the ongoing cycle of life.

Pluto’s North Node holds one of two gateways for the collective to radically transform the deepest psychological and emotional security wounds that have played out for thousands of human Earth years. On July 12th our minds and hearts will have an opportunity to enter into this potent energetic channel, cracking open ones head, rapidly reorganizing ones body and consciousness into a new template that holds potentials that have never been possible before. Now before your mind slips into a manufactured storyline that this just elevates humanity into a new dimension of light and peace, take a deep breath and recognize that we will probably experience this as a deepening split of living in two worlds. As the dawning awareness of this new reality inspires us to live in a new level of rawness and truth that we’ve never experienced before, while the revealing of the dark shadows of humanity accelerates even more. Pluto initiates extremes of experiences. The fallout of this may be an increase of despair, hopelessness and mental breaks as the polarizing dissonance plays out in people’s bodies and minds. Strengthening ones mental fortitude is the medicine for this, as this skill makes the greatest warriors. Mental fortitude is not a strengthening of the old stories referenced earlier, it is cultivating the ability to sit in paradox and discomfort while holding and protecting ones true, soul essence and center in the midst of changing the human ego and mental constructs around it. It may be thought of as approaching a black hole, entering the event horizon that is ripping apart these created parts of the self as the soul sits at the center, at peace in the middle of the violent death process. The North Node gate is one entrance to this black hole.

A notable piece of information worth sharing here that pertains to this momentous alignment of Mercury, the Sun and Pluto’s North Node comes from the channeling work of John Sandbach. His Omega channeling for this 21st degree of Cancer is:

“A man milking a poisonous snake of its venom so that he can make an antidote.”

Things that others are afraid to look at or to think about or approach are things that you can confront directly. You have a magnificent ability to put aside your fears and even your biases and judgments, so that you can look pain, suffering, and negativity in the face and come back from the experience with the healing force that the situation needs.

Speaking of warriors and the ability to face ones fears, the tarot card associated with Cancer is The Chariot, the golden armored warrior who sits on his stationary chariot, fully present and containing his power in the center of his belly. The mental focus he has cultivated allows for a control of his emotions and energetic field that no longer instinctively reacts to the world around him, but wisely responds with the necessary amount of force and precision to neutralize attacks and also come out of the experience tempered, changed and victorious. The disk he holds represents the Holy Grail that contains the elixir of life that is the gnosis of the infinite nature of the soul that exists beyond death and birth. The psychological fear of death that Pluto touches upon dies when this wisdom is embodied.
