Good morning and happy Saturday,
This week, I took a day off from work. I’m one of those parents who loathes when school resumes, stealing my children away for the day—even if I am usually in the office those eight hours—so years ago I started the small tradition.
It was a wonderful day, and, much as I am filled with joy, I can’t help but wonder if I could afford a lifestyle like this through my writing. One day, perhaps.
In the meantime, here’s this week’s selection.

An older post, but one of my most popular. An essay about losing a job, reminding me that it's ok to be on the outside of things sometimes.
As always, if you enjoy any of these articles, all I ask is that you give them a like or a share—I’d happily take both.
God bless,
