People Suck, Especially the Psychic Vampires Who Pose as “More Enlightened Than Thou”

On Substack, the Do Not Comply Guy thoughtfully commented on and quoted from my most recent article, which prompted me to reflect on a discouraging meeting with someone I had thought could be a friend.

The Do Not Reply Guy: “Verify it in all cases, not merely believe it in part.” With that said, always remain open to new understandings and deeper levels of Truth.

I now recognize that absolutely NOTHING here is “normal” -- abnormal is more like it -- and that there is no way in “hell” I want to be “just another human” that accepts this matrix paradigm. It’s making it increasingly difficult to be around those who do [accept].

Me: I conclude that people suck and increasingly stay away from them. I am not a New Age-like “Spread love to humanity and Mother Earth-Gaia” and “We are all one with nature and the cosmos” kind of person. Although we, the Source Players (SPs), are here to be challenged by non-SPs, at this point in my progression, enough is enough. Occasional tests remain acceptable, though. The following story about a meetup with an acquaintance serves as a case in point. After this seemingly innocuous encounter, I’d rather not continue to contact him.

I arranged to have coffee with someone who projects an image of deep dedication to Buddhism, an acquaintance who is neither a close friend nor a stranger. Notice I emphasize that he projects an image. He comes off as highly enlightened, but I suspect he is an NPC.

His passive, detached, and aloof manner prevents him from initiating anything—not a phone call, a text, or a meetup. I suspect he uses these traits, along with a humble, monk-like piety, occasional self-deprecating humor, and a surprising, disarming reverse logic to gain the upper hand in the philosophical discussions I like to have. Detachment is a quality I strive for as well, but never to the point of inconsiderateness and pride. His presentation represents a more subtle version of the typical New Age “more enlightened than thou” attitude.

I printed and brought a copy of one of my articles that directly interests him, focusing on sex and sexuality issues for the consciousness-raised. Yet, he never thanked me or even acknowledged that he had read the material. He did mention that he’s been celibate for over twenty years. That requires dedication, and I admire that stance. In fact, I can relate to his descriptions of how the public reacts to such a choice. I have also been called weird and crazy for my path.

He calmly employs a strange, reversing, shut-down logic to counter my criticisms of Buddhism. The analytical objections I raise are widely known, though I have no desire for the backing of the mainstream scholarly world. It is simply that refuting these points as he does feels like denying that water is wet. I never harshly attack his beLIEf system, nor am I itching for a fight. He avoids these debates with me, I suspect, because he feels out of his depth.

A primary example is Buddhism’s unquestionable principle of non-self, known as anatman or anatta. Even Hinduism opposes this concept, firmly asserting—as does Source Truth—that existence centers on the self—atman. His comebacks always follow a predictable script: “Oh, Buddhism is not like that when you venture into it. That is just a public misconception.” I will not claim he’s wrong, since he acts as the Buddhism expert. Instead, he will disarm and shut down my reasoning, dissolving the entire premise of my argument. The execution is stunning.

He would undoubtedly deny employing a subtle, clever defense sourced from ego and ownership—an “I’ll protect my turf” mentality—since he knows full well that the ego must be conquered.

You have to hand it to the Matrix for designing the perfect personal test. It is neither too easy nor too overwhelming. The scenarios are crafted to annoy and get under one’s skin. Therefore, I expand upon your original point—that you refuse to be just another human who accepts the Matrix paradigm, a sentiment I naturally share—to express my gratitude for the challenge.

I’ll step up to the preacher’s pulpit now. These are a few of the essential elements to advancement:

(1) Reaching a better understanding of why we’re here.

(2) Learning the nature of this Game.

(3) Knowing the role NPCs play

(4) Discovering who we are—eternal consciousness and fractals of Source.

As we advance, we should be constantly mindful of these. Also, stay within your now empowerment.

Why bother to advance—an effort that requires extensive work—instead of merely “enjoying the ride” and “staying in my lane,” as some prefer to say? I’ve heard consciousness and New Age teachers claim that we should simply experience the timelines we are assigned to, arguing that the reason we’re born with amnesia is to keep the experiences new and fresh. These assertions make no sense. They avoid stating a purpose because NPCs cannot conceive of one.

Why design such a beautiful and complex experience without the accompanying challenges that could lead to the aforementioned four understandings? To make this amazing experience worthwhile, raising consciousness—the highest pursuit possible—should not be an easy undertaking. Only Source Players possess the potential independence of thought to take up this challenge. Speaking to all readers of this post, if you have even the slightest suspicion you could be a Source Player, I suggest you get busy and refuse to waste this last chance to wake up.
