Who the hell came up with the notion that a literal nazi can’t like something like Star Wars if they do “understand it”? There’s so much reductive discourse out there and it’s irritating to see it getting parroted by people you respect. It doesn’t take that much brain power to understand this doesn’t make sense.

I’ve been busy and tired. I kinda want to write something for my blog, but I don’t know what would be interesting. Maybe something about my relationship with digital art? Or my perspective on code “theft” on the small web? If anyone wants me to write about something specific, send me an email. Btw I’ve been reading Mahoyo .

Just Because!

Quite cozy. Have I told you that I really like winter? Anyway, the plot wasn’t that great (and it gets worse toward the last episodes) but I found it quite enjoyable. The art was hit or miss but the overall direction was great. The story is about a group of high schoolers who are more concerned with their future careers, college, and romantic feelings than with school, as they’re about…

What a great name for a cat.

Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata

These characters were… obnoxious and unfunny. Honestly, the humor was mostly “check out this otaku reference or trope,” which made the first season hard to watch. I liked how it portrayed the insecurities that artists (might) experience when they compare themselves to their peers. I didn’t hate the movie’s ending, but I found it too indulging. If the main character…

thinking about Sheska from FMA 2003 rn. I weirdly miss her.

This artist takes the “ minification effect ” of eyeglasses into consideration . I love this. I think this is something that only applies to glasses for myopia, so we can tell these girls don’t have hyperopia. I wonder whether the artist is scaling down parts of the characters’ faces or just moving them, though. I think some people think myopia glasses “move”…

There are people who use genAI because they find it legitimately useful in certain contexts (or maybe they’re forced to), while others use it “just because.” Both cases contribute to empowering tyrannical companies, but the latter is a special case. Using genAI without reason to then show it in public should carry some social stigma. What if someone I get along with falls into…

Not my fandom but that Gold Ship fanart is fantastic.

I’ve replied to all the messages in my guestbook. Many of you guys like my blog entries and leave your own lengthy comments. That makes me happy. A few of you have even sent me emails, which gave me the courage to reach out to other people too. I’ve been really enjoying exchanging emails.

Can you think of any anime you like that nobody seems to know of, and you liked it, but you can’t promote it because it’s not really that good? Yeah, that’s Allison to Lillia for me. Plot wise, it’s really dumb and at times even incoherent. But it made me happy that one time I watched it. It’s based on a light novel which might or might not be better.

Many of you guys don’t provide RSS feeds. Very few of you use a framework or library that auto-generates your feeds. Very few of you painstakingly write your RSS feeds by hand, or use a desktop app to manually specify the fields to then build it. Well! I am making an IN-BROWSER RSS 2.0 FEED BUILDER! Because YOU DEMANDED IT! (I demanded it. For you.) It’s gonna be tailored for people…

I Don't Actually Care What Frutiger Aero Is (But...)

This is not Frutiger Aero, but I need to include Japanese character designs to make it interesting. Official art of Nanami Madobe by わかば . This is probably my most “unnecessary” blog entry so far. But you might find some value in it, especially if you’re interested in nostalgic aesthetic trends.

I don’t think I’ve ever rolled for Artoria, despite her being my favorite character from the original visual novel. The only reason she’s NP 4 is because she keeps spooking me.

At least two things have happened the past few weeks that made me feel proud of the article I wrote back in 2025 about fandom spaces . The author of Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!! got harassed over the suggestive sexual content in her manga, specifically a part involving the protagonist and an octopus, and an illustration featuring a student and his teacher. This is a manga I personally own. I was not…

Fate/strange Fake

I liked the first season quite a lot! I don’t get why some people who are supposedly well versed in the Nasuverse did’t. I haven’t read strange Fake, but everything “made sense” to me (of course this is never 100% achievable when it comes to the Nasuverse).

Even if you’re not interested in nostalgia or aesthetics, please, consider joining the Frutiger Aero Archive Forum ! The userbase is quite small but also quite active, so there’s enough material every day to spend a few minutes reading threads about many different topics. It’s surprisingly not a dumpster and not dead. Keep in mind there are many underage users. I believe most of…

I still don’t understand what the deal is with RSS on Nekoweb. Users publish RSS feeds just for them to be displayed on the homepage??? I’m NEVER able to find them on the sites themselves. I want to belive I’m wrong, because this sounds like the stupidest idea ever. It’s like a very cumbersome way to make your own walled garden .

Xam’d’s second opening is so good. Among my favorites of all time. I can’t show it to you because copyright laws won’t let me find it on YouTube, so you just have to trust me.

I ain’t gonna police what other people do on their websites, but I can do whatever I want in my own virtual space. If I see people in my circle interacting positively with incels, I’ll cut them off.

Dude, I love searchmysite . It&rsquo;s a manually-curated search engine for personal and independent sites: no corporate websites, no SEO exploiters, no garbage! And yes, I&rsquo;ve found quite a few sites of my linking using it in the past few weeks. You might have heard that the keywords meta tag (like <meta name="keywords" content="anime, manga" /> ) is useless, but searchmysite takes them into…

I&rsquo;ve been working on a personal project lately. I haven&rsquo;t forgotten about my site at all, but I don&rsquo;t have the time to do much fun stuff, or even to write. Whateveerrrr. I can tell you about two things that I can&rsquo;t add to my media log right now. I read Sayonara Eri by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It&rsquo;s pretty short and kinda weird, but not the kind of weird that&rsquo;s cryptic…

Bannou Bunka Neko-Musume (OVA)

Entertaining.

Dandadan

I loved the characters and the relationships they have with each other. The animation is amazing too. But I found everything else so boring, sadly, so I don&rsquo;t think I&rsquo;ll watch season 2 :/

One aspect I really don&rsquo;t like about the &ldquo;indie&rdquo; web is the experience of fiding another adult who turns out to be yet another tech-savvy person with a site full of tech-savvy blog entries like &ldquo;how to dockerize your JVM application&rdquo; or whatever. It&rsquo;s much less frequent on Neocities and Nekoweb, but it&rsquo;s still a thing even here. What I really want to say…
