Good Deed Doer of the Week… Here is Auxiliary member, Mike M. getting ice. He also has been seen walking people out to their cars, helping in the kitchen, taking out trash… good deeds abound with this one! Stay tuned for more Good Deeds around our VFW! It could be Y-O-U!
Another busy week (as always!) supporting our Veterans and our East Dallas community! Thanks to all for the unwavering support! We are working to make our Post better and safer! We hope that you have noticed and that you agree!

Monday, 07/13: Sandra has everything for a salad bar: pasta salad, pea salad, tossed salad, caesar salad with chicken and dessert. $10. Come back to the kitchen at 6:30. Cash or card.
Monday, 07/13: Dart League! Substitutes always welcome! Talk to Stu.
The Swingtime Big Band is off for the summer! They’ll be back in the Fall!
Tuesday, 07/14: Tuesday Night Dinner…Carrie and Logan are making Shepherd’s Pie and Dessert. $10. 6:30. Come to the kitchen…cash or card!
Tuesday, 07/14: High Staxx Poker will be hosting two games with VFW 6796 canteen gift cards as prizes. Play starts at 7:00pm. It’s a $10 tip per game for the dealer. This is not for cash prizes.
Tuesday, 07/14: Art Expressions Workshops through No Limits Arts Theatre (NLAT) This workshop is open to the public but you must register for this fun class: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/art-expressions 6 PM-8 PM
Wednesday, 07/15: Commander Test Kitchen! Join us from 6pm-8pm for Wednesday drink specials with $3 wells, live music, and complimentary heavy appetizers! Every week is something new! Greg H is playing and singing!! It is a treat when brother and Jr Vice, Clay, joins in!
Wednesday, 07/15: Happy July Birthdays! Come up, sing and have cake and ice cream as we celebrate all of you with July birthdays!
Thursday, 07/16: Cootie Meeting 7PM
Thursday, 07/16: Amy is in the kitchen making her famous spaghetti and cheese ravioli, salad and garlic bread! Don’t forget the dessert! Starting at 6:30. $10. Come back to the kitchen! Cash or card.
Thursday, 07/16: Karaoke at 7PM. Here is an opportunity to sing your favorite songs alongside some local talent! Sing loud and proud! Bobbie is the DJ! Enjoy dinner before!
Friday, 07/17: It’s the 3rd Friday of the month! That means that the kitchen crew will be whipping up Catfish and shrimp plus fresh cut fries, hushpuppies & homemade cole slaw! Order at 6 from your bartender. Dinner served at 6:30. $15.
Sunday, 07/19: Jam Session: Join ZenBubba and friends at the Sunday Jam session from 3-7 pm. Local musicians and music lovers gather to make music in a group setting. Bring your favorite instrument…Come and join or simply sit and listen! All are welcome!
