July 1st is going to be phenomenal!! Wednesday…our house band, the Swingtown band is playing patriotic songs and fun big band songs. Free appetizers. Get ready for our country’s 250th birthday! It is going to be a blast!
Another busy week (as always!) supporting our Veterans and our East Dallas community! Thanks to all for the unwavering support! We are working to make our Post better and safer!

Monday, 06/29: SANDRA IS BACK!! Chicken fried steak, fresh cut fries, gravy roll and dessert. $10. Come back to the kitchen at 6:30. Cash or card.

Monday, 06/29: The Swingtime Big Band practices in the big hall 7PM-8:30PM! This amazing 15+piece big band practices their craft here every Monday through June! They love an audience (and applause!)…if you enjoy big band, swing and jazz, come out this Monday and enjoy the sound! Get ready & mark your calendars for their Independence Day concert on Wednesday, July 1! 6:30!!
Tuesday, 06/30: Tuesday Night Dinner…It’s Chef Amy is making the Roy family Fiesta Casserole! $10. 6:30. Poker players…this is going to be SO GOOD! Come to the kitchen…cash or card!
Tuesday, 06/30: High Staxx Poker will be hosting two games with VFW 6796 canteen gift cards as prizes. Play starts at 7:00pm. It’s a $10 tip per game for the dealer. This is not for cash prizes.
Tuesday, 06/30: Art Expressions Workshops through No Limits Arts Theatre (NLAT) This workshop is open to the public but you must register for this fun class: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/art-expressions 6 PM-8 PM
Wednesday, 07/01: Commander Test Kitchen! Join us from 6pm-8pm for Wednesday drink specials with $3 wells, live music, and complimentary heavy appetizers! Every week is something new! Let’s celebrate our country’s 250th birthday in style with the Swingtime Band. Come and listen to Patriotic music! Treat yourself by coming up and being a part of this fun evening! Hats for sale to benefit the Post! $20!

Thursday, 07/02: Team effort! Cindy is making brats in beer with green peppers & onion, sauerkraut, if you want it (we will not force it on you!), chips, Caesar salad, watermelon, homemade poundcake with strawberries, whipped cream! Whole bunch of YUM! Starting at 6:30. $10. Come back to the kitchen! Cash or card.
Thursday, 07/02: Karaoke at 7PM. Here is an opportunity to sing your favorite songs alongside some local talent! Sing loud and proud! Bobbie is the DJ! Enjoy dinner before! There might be some more out of towners (Josh from Scotland might show!) and other guest singers this Thursday!
Friday, 07/03: It is 1st Friday STEAK night! Huge steak, grilled to order, baked potato, corn and salad. Order at 6 from your bartender. Dinner served at 6:30. $20.
Saturday, 07/04! Happy Birthday USA! 250 years! Woohoo! Hot dogs at the Post!
Sunday, 07/05: 1st Sunday Brunch! Omelets or eggs your way or Blueberry pancakes or Cinnamon French Toast (real maple syrup bc we do not mess around!) potato casserole or potato patties, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy. $8. 10-12. COme for the best breakfast in East Dallas…maybe in ALL of Dallas!
Sunday, 07/05: Jam Session: Join ZenBubba and friends at the Sunday Jam session from 3-7 pm. Local musicians and music lovers gather to make music in a group setting. Bring your favorite instrument…Come and join or simply sit and listen! All are welcome!
