Tucker Selected to Compete at Who’s #1

A long couple days of traveling got in the way of posting about this earlier, but it needed to be mentioned!

FloWrestling has selected Sarissa Tucker (Mountain View) to compete in their annual Who’s #1 event just over a month from now, September 26th, from the legendary Gallagher-Iba Arena on the campus of Oklahoma State University.

Tucker will square off with Pennsylvania’s Isla Silva in the 110 lb match.

Silva won a Pennsylvania state title in 2026, as a freshman, for Mount Lebanon High School. Earlier this summer, Silva captured a bronze medal at the 2026 U17 World Championships in the 49 kg weight class.

In 2026, Tucker finished as a runner-up at the U20 World Team Trials and made the finals of US Open Girls HS Showcase. She also won a gold medal at the U20 Pan-American Championships. In Brazil, she beat an opponent (twice), who just finished fifth at the U20 World Championships. A couple of days after U20 Pan-Ams, Tucker went to Fargo and claimed a Junior National championship.

With her recent accomplishments, Tucker has moved to #1 in the MatScouts national rankings at 110 lbs and #9 in their pound-for-pound rankings.

Tucker is the first Virginia girl ever selected to compete at Who’s #1.
