XRP & Midterm Elections - What History Suggests About Price

Vandell Aljarrah · The Vandell Report

Ladies and gentlemen, one interesting pattern I’ve noticed is XRP’s behavior around prior U.S. midterm election years. In both 2018 and 2022, XRP experienced a brief relief rally leading into the election, only to roll over and continue declining into November before eventually finding its cycle low.

It’s not a perfect predictor, and history never repeats exactly. Still, it does rhyme, and with the next midterm election approaching this November and XRP along with the rest of the crypto market still in a downtrend (decline phase of its cycle), it’s a pattern worth keeping on the radar, so I’ll be watching it.

From a technical perspective, XRP remains in a clear downtrend, printing lower highs and lower lows, with the descending trendline continuing to act as resistance. Until that trend changes, we should stay patient and avoid assuming every bounce marks the beginning of the next bull market. Markets often take longer to bottom than most people expect, but what comes afterward will be quite remarkable in my humble opinion.

However, my long-term outlook hasn’t changed. When macro conditions begin improving, interest rates continue moving lower, liquidity starts expanding again, and institutional capital rotates back into digital assets, I believe XRP still has tremendous upside over the next bull cycle. The current environment is about preparation, not chasing price.

Anything can change, of course, and I’ll adjust my view if the data changes, but for now, this historical pattern remains intact. If history continues to rhyme, the coming months could present one final opportunity before the next major uptrend begins. That’s the period I’m paying the closest attention to. I just want everyone to be aware of this.

As always, none of this is financial advice. I'm simply sharing how I'm personally interpreting the charts, the macro environment, and where I believe the highest probability opportunities may be based on my own research and experience. Every investor has different goals, a different financial situation, and a different tolerance for risk, so always do your own research, think independently, and manage your risk carefully.

This is not financial advice.
