I have been wanting to write an expanded, revised version of my book Ecstasy is Necessary for ages, and it’s finally done! The Book of Ecstasy will be published by St. Martin’s Publishing Group next summer.
The intention for the book is simple: ecstasy isn’t reserved for the enlightened or the “perfect.” It’s a deeply personal experience of joy, aliveness, and connection that belongs to all of us.
This is not a theoretical guide. I’m writing from decades of embodied experience, blending practical tools with spirituality and a fierce compassion for anyone who’s ever felt like an outsider in conversations about sex, pleasure, or spirituality. I’ve woven in new material on boundaries, consent, and neurodiversity, plus an important new chapter on what happens when ecstasy feels impossible—or too overwhelming to manage. This chapter is for those who are healing from trauma, navigating illness, or mourning the loss of their old sexual selves, as well as those experiencing “energy overload” and the often misunderstood, powerful energetic and emotional states that it brings.
The Book of Ecstasy is a book for anyone who has ever felt left out of mainstream conversations about sex, pleasure, or identity—especially those seeking “something more” beyond the norm. It is a fiercely inclusive and radically affirming path to ecstasy—for every body, in every season of life.
I’ll let you know when it’s available to pre-order.
