Urban Ocean Lab is excited to partner with the Puget Sound Climate Preparedness Collaborative on a practitioner-led webinar and workshop series to support integration of climate resilience into the region’s capital planning processes.

Over the next 6 months, the Collaborative will convene practitioners to discuss information, practice, and policy needs for designing and building capital projects that consider current and future exposure to increased rainfall, flooding, sea level rise, and other climate impacts. UOL will synthesize lessons learned, emerging challenges, and pathways forward discussed in the series.

Together, we will:

  • Uplift local and regional efforts to integrate climate resilience into capital projects

  • Share capital planning case studies, best practices, and tools to facilitate cross-jurisdiction learning and collaboration

  • Build a peer network of local governments and regional agencies engaged in or ready to engage in climate-informed capital planning

Stay tuned to learn how practitioners in the Puget Sound are building safer and more resilient communities!

Are you a climate leader or community organization working on climate issues in a coastal region? Have a project, challenge, or big idea? We’d love to partner with you. Please reach out at info@urbanoceanlab.org.
