It's still in the 90s every day, but happy autumn, I guess?

A few updates. But first of all…hi! How are you? I mean other than the horrors? Are you getting any breaks from the horrors? Can you at least have a nice sweet treat today? It’s Indigenous Peoples Day and your favorite Choctaw auntie wants you to have a sweet treat. Or bacon, if you don’t like sweets.

First of all, my sweet friend Kathy Labriola saw that I had written Unfuck Your Holidays and sent me a guide she had written some years ago on surviving the holidays if you are in a consensual non-monogamy dynamic. It’s really great and I asked her if Microcosm could turn it into a zine, to which she said SURE! They’re launching a Kickstarter for it in the next few days, which you can find here. Calling it Unfuck Your Polydays was my idea and I’m veryvery sorry-not-sorry for the title.

(Just send me some New Balance sneakers to go with my dad jokes, thanks).

And also, since Baby Nephew is a baby witch who loves spooky season, he created a coupon code for 45% off (I know!!!) the entire Etsy store through 10/30. It’s SPOOKY45 and you do need the code to get the discount, because we are gatekeep-y like that. Here’s hoping he sells enough to cover all the tissues he is going to need for his pre-calculus course. Auntie is a statistician not a mathematician, but may be relearning trig if we run out of tissues. Math professors are infamous for not taking bribes, rudely enough.

Love you, keeping hanging in there.

Auntie Faith

P.S.

And a side note for my local people, especially those who worked in community mental health and attended Guadapalooza. We lost our sweet Robin this weekend, very suddenly. Her mama Patti wants the fundraising show Robin had just organized for 10/26 to be a celebration of life concert for her. Which is exactly what Robin would have wanted, music was her life. Please shoot me an email if you can attend on 10/26 in New Braunfels and I’ll send you the rest of the details.

As Virginia Woolf said in The Voyage Out:

It appeared that nobody ever said a thing they meant, or ever talked of a feeling they felt but that was what music was for.
