The Washington State Department of Health, a taxpayer-funded department, placed paid ads on Instagram advocating for people for the abolition of faith-based crisis pregnancy centers. Crisis pregnancy centers traditionally provide free ultrasounds and parenting supplies to moms who choose life.
The Trump administration is considering giving 5,000 to every new mom after delivery in an effort to tackle the declining birth and marriage rates in America. There are multiple plans under consideration, according to the New York Times. Another plan laid out would ensure that 30% of Fulbright scholarships be given to applicants who are married or have children.
A judge in New Mexico resigned after ICE arrested a Venezuelan gang member who was living in the judge’s home. Magistrate Judge Joel Cano was seemingly housing 23-year-old illegal immigrant Cristhian Ortega-Lopez, a man with ties to the Tren de Aragua gang. According to Breitbart, authorities had recovered photos of decapitated and mutilated bodies on this illegal immigrant’s phone.
A school board meeting in California completely unraveled after protesters were heard chanting “Hail Satan.” The Chino Valley School Board was adopting a new “pro-female athlete resolution” that only allows biological females to compete in women’s sports. In response to that resolution, some parents and agitators started chanting “Hail Satan.”
NASA’s jet propulsion lab parted ways with its top diversity officer. Last year, the lab opted to fire 530 contracts and 400 employees including scientists and engineers, while employing its Chief Inclusion Officer.
Kilmar Abrego Garcia was driving a convicted human smuggler’s car when he was stopped by police in 2022. At the time, the responding officers claimed they were concerned upon finding eight illegal immigrants with no luggage driving from Texas to Maryland. Abrego Garcia told the responding officers that he was bringing these people to “perform construction work” in Maryland and was driving his boss’s car. The car was registered to Jose Ramon Hernandez Reyes, an illegal immigrant convicted of smuggling illegal immigrants into the US.
The New York Times ran a feature on a criminal illegal immigrant named Nascimento Blair arguing that Americans are torn on whether to deport similar criminal illegal immigrants. Blair came to America as a drug dealer and was convicted of first-degree kidnapping in 2005. and was then sentenced to 15 years in prison. He was convicted of kidnapping in 2005.
Cornell University’s President rescinded an invitation for singer Khelani to perform at the university’s annual “Slope Day” following Khelani’s “anti-Semitic” Instagram posts. The singer made a spate of posts calling for the dismantling of Israel and the eradication of Zionism.
The Supreme Court is poised to side with religious parents suing the Montgomery County Board of Education over the district’s refusal to allow parents to opt out of lessons focused on gender identity. Christian, Muslim, and Jewish parents sued the school board after a 2022 curriculum update made conversations about drag queens and sexuality commonplace in the curriculum.

Life was peaceful this week. A new Italian market opened up near our home and I’m a sucker for Italian food. We overate bolognese, a meat lovers pizza, and arancini🤤 I’ve been to the gym three times since, so it’s neutralized. That’s how that works, right?!😉
On April 22, we celebrated Harper’s “Gotcha Day!” It’s been six years of having the bestest dog. If you haven’t had the pleasure of hearing my gotcha day story… here goes nothing!
I was 22, it was my last week of college, and I budgeted $400 to get a puppy for graduation. That morning I went to the humane society and met a jack russell terrier puppy, but moments after I picked the puppy up, he was adopted. I was heartbroken and (Lord forgive me) went straight to a bar called “Harper’s.”
Sitting in my final lecture of college, (yes, after I went to the bars…) I started scrolling through Craigslist looking for dogs and came across a little golden retriever for exactly $400. I messaged the owner and met him in a McDonald’s parking lot where he casually passed me the puppy. (No, I didn’t drive!)
I wondered at the time how anyone was selling a pure bred golden retriever for just $400. Was he stolen? Was something wrong with him? The answer was yes… kinda. Sweet Harper was born with only one testicle and the breeder was looking to stud him out. (Yes, it’s sad and hilarious at the same time).
And that concludes the story of our little one-nut-wonder joining the family🤣 We wouldn’t have him any other way!
