May Update
The Interim Education Committee meets almost once a month through November to discuss education issues in Utah. UHOPE tries to be there in person or online.
The May 20th Meeting
This was the first Interim meeting of the year. Nothing specific to UHOPE was discussed.
What happened?
They welcomed new members of the committee.
A few audit items were discussed.
Concurrent enrollment with high school and college was discussed.
Teacher licensing was discussed.
After the meeting…
Our Legislative Liaison, Ian Cox, reached out to members of the Education Committee. Reaching out to our legislators and showing appreciation for their insights and serving the people of Utah is important. One Senator even responded positively.
