Believe and See His Glory

“Jesus said to her, ‘Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?’” — John 11:40

John 11 records one of Jesus’ greatest miracles—the raising of Lazarus from the dead. When Jesus arrived in Bethany, Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. To everyone around Him, the situation appeared hopeless. Yet Jesus reminded Martha of a truth she needed to hear: “If you believed, you would see God’s glory.”

Notice that Jesus called Martha to believe before she saw the miracle. Faith is not based on visible evidence but on confidence in the character and promises of God. Martha had already declared her faith in Jesus, but in this moment of grief and uncertainty, her faith was being tested. Christ invited her to trust Him even when His plans were beyond her understanding.

God often works the same way in our lives. There are seasons when answers seem delayed, circumstances appear impossible, and we struggle to understand what He is doing. During those times, God calls us to trust Him rather than rely on what we can see. His timing is perfect, and His purposes are always greater than our limited perspective.

The greatest display of God’s glory came through Jesus Christ—His death, resurrection, and victory over sin and death. Because He lives, believers can face life’s greatest challenges with confidence, knowing that nothing is impossible for Him.

Identify an area where you are struggling to trust God. Instead of focusing on what you cannot see, choose to believe His promises and wait expectantly for Him to reveal His glory in His perfect way and time.

• Lord, strengthen my faith when circumstances seem impossible.

• Help me trust Your wisdom even when I cannot see the outcome.

• May my life reflect confidence in Your power and glory.
