It’s easy to find Halloween-themed cocktails this time of year- just search for Halloween cocktails, and you’ll find all assortments of sweet, colorful, smoky and bubbly cocktails. (Beware using dry ice, I don’t recommend it.)
This is certainly one of my favorite Halloween memories!

When I was a kid, Halloween costumes came folded in a cardboard box with a hard but flexible plastic mask with eye, nose, and mouth holes punched in, plus a slender elastic string that (almost) held the one-sided mask against your face. The box was topped by a cellophane-windowed cardboard lid so that you could see the colorful mask inside while trying to make up your mind which character to be!
My friend Norm had this story published a few years back, but be warned, it’s all about the trick.

For many years my friends and I would set up a haunted house in an oversized home garage that one of them owned. This friend would throw a private block party, and between families and friends, we usually had 150-220 people pass through our dark house. These events were acclaimed, and people started to look forward to them almost every year.
It’s certainly been a crazy busy month, but I hope you have a great Halloween!
