NATALIE Harp has gone from a little-known aide trailing President Donald Trump with a portable printer to one of the most talked-about figures in the White House after intensely personal letters revealed the depth of her devotion to the president.
The 35-year-old has become a near-constant presence at President Trump’s side, working from the Oval Office, traveling aboard Marine One and passing messages between the president and powerful figures around the world.

Her extraordinary place in President Trump’s orbit has now been thrust into the spotlight following reports about letters she wrote to him in 2023.
In one, Harp told President Trump, “You are all that matters to me.”
She also called him her “Guardian and Protector in this Life” and wrote, “I don’t ever want to let you down,” according to letters viewed by The New York Times.
The letters reportedly concerned some people around President Trump, but Harp has only grown closer to the president in the years since.
Her devotion has been impossible to miss inside President Trump’s world.
CNN reported this week that Harp once climbed into the cargo area of an SUV in President Trump’s motorcade after being told there was no room for her as staff headed to one of his New York court appearances in 2023.

The network reported that she was determined to go after saying President Trump had personally wanted her there.
Her colleagues have also given her the nickname the “human printer.”
Harp follows President Trump with a portable printer, allowing her to quickly hand him hard copies of articles, posts and other information he wants to see, the NYT reported.
She also handles much of President Trump’s social media operation.

The president dictates posts for Harp to type, and she has been responsible for sending some of his most explosive online messages, according to reports.
CNN reported that Harp also communicates with lawmakers, allies and government officials on President Trump’s behalf, sending them messages and material the president wants them to receive.
Her access became even clearer last month when President Trump was secretly moved out of Turkey after US officials learned of a possible Iranian assassination plot.
President Trump was spirited away from the publicly identified Air Force One aboard an airport catering truck before taking a different military plane.
Harp was inside the catering truck and then joined President Trump on the secret flight alongside War Secretary Pete Hegseth and aides Walt Nauta and Dan Scavino, CBS News reported.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, meanwhile, traveled aboard the decoy plane with other White House staff and reporters.
That revelation helped turn Harp from a familiar face to Trump watchers into a figure attracting much wider attention.
The Georgia Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff put her name directly into the political fight.
“He doesn’t want to do the job,” Ossoff said of President Trump, before adding, “He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie.”
President Trump responded by comparing Ossoff to “Pee-wee Herman,” while White House officials and Republicans rushed to Harp’s defense.
White House spokesperson Davis Ingle described her as “one of the most loyal and hardest working aides” on President Trump’s team.
Eric Trump also hit back after Harp’s estranged brother, Preston, discussed her relationship with the president on CNN.
He called Harp a cancer survivor and defended her commitment to his father, her job and the country.
Preston had described his sister’s feelings toward President Trump as an “infatuation,” while stressing that he did not believe it was a physical attraction.
He said she had been interested in presidents since she was a teenager and claimed she had previously written letters to the late George W. Bush.

But Harp’s connection to President Trump began with an intensely personal belief that he helped save her life.
Harp has said she battled stage two bone cancer and credited President Trump’s signing of the Right to Try Act in 2018 with allowing her to receive treatment she believed kept her alive.
She appeared on Fox News in 2019 to tell her story and soon caught President Trump’s attention.
President Trump later invited her to speak at the 2020 Republican National Convention, where she publicly thanked him and said she would have died waiting for treatments to be approved without his intervention.
Medical experts later questioned whether the Right to Try law was actually responsible for Harp gaining access to her treatment.
Harp said she received an FDA-approved immunotherapy drug for an unapproved use, while experts told The Washington Post that the 2018 law would not have been necessary to access a drug that was already approved.
Harp nevertheless continued to publicly credit President Trump with changing her life.
Before joining his staff, she worked for the conservative One America News Network and repeated President Trump’s claim that the 2020 presidential election had been stolen.
She joined President Trump’s team in 2022 and has steadily become one of the people closest to him professionally.
Harp later explained in the documentary Art of the Surge that she had never been particularly interested in politics before becoming sick and watching President Trump during the Republican presidential debates.
“He was my first exposure to politics, and I loved it,” she said in the film.
