What should Tulsa explain next?

I envisioned Tulsa Explains Everything as a both a personal catharsis for me and a community hub for history recovery nerds. It’s a personal catharsis because I always sensed — as Mark Singer once said — “there is something profoundly wrong with this place.” The newsletter is not all about me, though. Many people share Singer’s intuition, but can’t put their finger on it.

Every entry is my attempt to diagnose the problem, albeit with genuine affection and—whenever possible—a sense of humor. In that vein, Tulsa has explained:
