Dear Readers,
It’s been a fiery first two days at the anti-SLAPP appeal in Galloway v. A.B. and in the coming days I will post a full update on all the arguments as well as details on the pushback from the Justices on defence submissions.
In the meantime I want to let you know that Steven Galloway’s lawyer Dan Burnett K.C. will start his submissions tomorrow morning.
The lawyer for Arielle (Ari) Rombough will open the hearing tomorrow at 10am by briefly finishing her submissions from today. Mr. Burnett is expected to start at 10:15 am.
I highly recommend logging in to view Mr. Burnett’s submissions. You can do so by doing the following:
Install Zoom on your desktop or mobile device.
Go to https://www.bccourts.ca/court_of_appeal/media/broadcasting.aspx
Click on the “Courtroom 60” Zoom Link.
If you don’t yet have Zoom installed it will prompt you to install it.
Once Zoom is launched you will enter your name and be given access to the livestream. Your mic will be set to off by default so not to worry about making noise.
