Our fourth residential travel writing course is happening in November this year in the Cotswolds and there are limited spaces left!
The Residential involves three days of seminars, 1-2-1 feedback sessions and group activities geared towards helping new or early career writers make their way in the travel media. Our past students have gone on to write for Wanderlust, The Guardian, the i paper and The Telegraph, and even got staff jobs at major travel magazines.

What’s included? Three nights’ accommodation in a private bedroom with en-suite on a breakfast and dinner basis, press trip-style activities, in-depth seminars with Lottie and Steph, an opportunity to get your pitches analysed in a 1-2-1 session, and a year’s free subscription to our award-winning newsletter, Talking Travel Writing.
Places are limited to 15 and we’ve already got several booked on. We keep it small deliberately — so you actually get our focus & attention, not just a seat in a room.
It’s a good fit if you’re new to travel writing, or a few pitches in and not yet getting the traction you’d hoped for. You don’t need a journalism degree or any prior experience — just a genuine interest in making travel writing part of your career.
It’s probably not the right fit if you’re already regularly commissioned and looking for advanced-level strategy. We’d love to have you along, but we want to be honest about who gets the most out of it.
