How To Trade This

Axogen, Inc. (AXGN) makes surgical products that repair damaged nerves in the arms, legs, face and chest. Its Avance graft uses processed donated human nerve tissue to bridge a gap where a nerve was cut, while its Axoguard line protects and connects repairs so patients regain feeling and movement.

Growth is coming from wider surgeon adoption, especially in breast reconstruction, where restoring sensation after mastectomy is becoming a priority. Federal approval of its lead graft as a biologic, plus broader insurance coverage and a bigger sales team, keeps pulling new hospitals into the fold.

Elective procedure volumes have held up even as hospitals watch budgets, and payers keep adding nerve repair to covered treatment lists. Rising costs for processing donated tissue squeeze margins a bit, but pricing power and long exclusivity on the flagship graft help offset that pressure.

On the chart, price pushed to fresh highs on a confirmation bar with increasing volume and moved into the momentum zone. That says buyers showed up in size rather than drifting higher on thin trade, and it often marks the start of a stretch where a trend can extend for a while.

A trailing stop follows price higher and locks in gains if the move reverses, so risk stays defined without guessing at a top. Many traders set that level using Fibonacci retracement levels drawn with the Fibonacci snap tool.
