Why I Left Crypto to Learn Massage in Temples

There was a time I sat in a luxury apartment in Dubai. A screen full of green candlesticks, thousands of dollars moving every second. I had built the life many people dream about — no office, no boss, just freedom, money, and the feeling of being ahead of the game.

But maybe you know the feeling too — when everything looks fine on the outside, but your chest feels tight. Your mind races. And somehow, you forget what peace even feels like.

That is how it started.

I booked a one-way ticket to Nepal. No business plan, no project, just one wish: to feel again.
To feel with my hands. To feel my breath. To learn something slow, something sacred.

At a small institute in Kathmandu, I took my first massage class. Ayurveda, Hot Stone, Reflexology, Shirodhara... the words were new, but the feeling was ancient.

We practiced in silence. Oil warmed in a copper bowl. The scent of lemongrass in the air. I still remember the first time I held warm oil in my hands — unsure, quiet, and completely present. The teacher touched with presence, not technique. And for the first time in years — I dropped into my body.

I still love freedom. I still believe in Bitcoin. But freedom is more than money. It is the ability to feel peace without Wi-Fi. To come back to yourself — even when everything outside is fast and loud.

That is why I went on to study Thai Massage at Wat Pho in Bangkok, learned to use wooden hammers in Chiang Mai, and trained with old teachers who see with their hands.

Massage taught me something no market chart ever did:
Touch brings people back. To their body. To their breath. To life.

Now I help others reconnect with their body — through ancient techniques that ask for presence, not performance. I am not a master. I am still learning, still practicing — and sharing what truly works.

Touchlines Asia is my place to share this path.
Not to teach perfect technique. But to remember ancient wisdom. To slow down. To show how massage, herbs, and small rituals can become part of a modern life — without noise or performance.

If you are someone who functions well, but feels far away from yourself...
If you are curious about your body, but tired of promises and pressure...
If you want stories, tools, and reminders that bring you closer to yourself...

Then you are in the right place.

In Part 2, I’ll show you what to expect from this newsletter — and how you can start bringing Asian bodywork and presence into your own daily rhythm.

Because in the end, it is not about escaping the world —
It is about remembering how to live in it, fully.

See you soon.
