Open Studio Event TOMORROW!

Well good evening! Reporting to you directly from my studio, which I have just finished tidying and setting up for tomorrow’s event. All that I need to do is hoover the floor, which with the amount of dog hair that’s amassed from the two animals that share the space with me (I’d love to protect their anonymity but we all know who they are), I may yet be here til midnight. What was previously a laminate floor currently looks like it’s been laid with a beige carpet.

Now, the purpose of this little surprise drop-in is to just run over final details for tomorrow’s open studio and to get you excited about coming! If you have been on the fence about coming then perhaps by the end of this read, I’ll have convinced you to pop your shoes on and tootle up to my humble studio tomorrow! My studio isn’t far from the centre of town, and there are bus stops right outside! G’warnnn, make a day of it. There’s a glass of fizz waiting for you!

Everybody, I’d like you to meet Steve! He’s my show stopper original that will be on view in my studio tomorrow… that’s collage down at the bottom of the painting, a new technique for me! He’s A2 and £600 framed - we will see if he finds a home tomorrow!

I also have a new kingfisher painting which I’m framing up tonight specially for tomorrow.

I have a lot of framed new prints featuring designs from the last year! I just collected them all from the framers today. They are nearly all A2 size and come with colourful frames… I also have some older popular designs done, including this A4 otter print ‘Mischief Maker’ which I’ve had framed specially for the event - only one available!

You can also find some discounted old stock! I’m talking tea towels, aprons, ladybird washbags and prints all at easy-on-the-eye prices! Perfect for christmas stockings…

I also have some discounted coasters which are misprints. So you can get first dibs on those tomorow.

The Event is in my studio, which is on London Road in Edinburgh (full address just below) It will be on from 10-5pm and I will be there with Spud and Ollie the dogs (if you are bringing your dog please only do so if they are neutered and if they are well behaved so that we can maintain calm in the studio!)

Directions: My studio is at St Margaret’s House, 151 London Road, EH76AE. If coming by bus you can enter from the street, if coming by car you can drive into the car park - my studio is in the second big brown building that you come to and the entrance is on the far side of it. Once in the building, take the lift to the second floor and make a left when you get out, go down the corridor and my studio is a couple of doors down. If you take the stairs you’ll be making a right when you get out onto my floor.

If you get lost go to reception on floor 3 and ask for directions (but if you make it to floor three I’m the floor below and pretty much directly under reception lol)

So, have I convinced you? I hope so… my studio is looking like a carnival of animals right now and I’d love for you to see it.
